The Tablelands Hat
In Australia, the Akubra Tablelands is a long-standing tradition for outdoor workers. It is an easy shape, with wide-ranging appeal, and very comfortable to wear all day long. It features a wide brim of 83mm with a bound edge, which slopes gently, front to back, giving excellent protection from the elements. It’s tough, resilient, light-weight, and looks great.
As with all Akubra hats, the Tablelands is hand-crafted in Australia and takes six weeks to make, using traditional, old-school processes which have changed little in 140 years. Made from 100% rabbit felt fur, all Akubra hats are water resistant and offer the ultimate in sun protection.
Considered to be more of a working hat, the Tablelands is unlined, but has a supple internal leather sweatband, embossed with the Akubra logo in gold. The crown has three eyelets each side, for improved comfort in hot weather, and features a laced leather hatband, with brass fittings.
Available in two practical colours from us – Sorrel Tan and Brown Olive.

Advice on how to get the correct size before ordering.
“ We do not recommend purchasing direct from Australia as duty and VAT on imports cannot be predicted. Prices often exclude these costs. All VAT, duty and initial delivery is included in our prices for the UK (Taxes may be claimed back on company purchases as protective clothing.)”
